Bon spot pour aller vers Le Mans / Paris / Tours
Accessible en bus depuis le centre ville d’Angers (arrêt parc des expos)

[Young male solo-traveller]
This is definitively not a good spot to go to Le Mans/Tours because few cars taking the highway at this intersection. However, not a lot of other options. Still feasible

We were two, goy stuck in Angers for a all day, nobody took us to Paris. We tried 3 différents spots and none of them worked, we had to take the train to Le Mans and go to a peage

The spot wasn't so good going on the A85, the Bauné resting area is very small, and only few cars stop at lunch to eat or to get to the toilets. There is no gas tanks, neither numerous cars. And most of the drivers are heading towards Paris.

The spot was good with plenty of cars leaving Angers and room to stop.

But I don't know if it works for long distance, since the driver offered to drop me at the Bauné area few kilometers away on the highway and just before the highways A11 and A85 split.

Heading to Ardèche, passing by Angers and trying to get to the highway.

The cars don't drive too fast, and there is a lot of room to stop, I was using a sign, but I waited a lot. Perhaps it wasn't the day.

It was a monday so not a lot of traffic but still the best place to hitchhikke north I think.

Best spot to go to Angers from Cholet. People have space to stop and all so it's good. The only problem is that you will most likely arrive at the center of the city but it's not too bad to access other spots from there (at least the one going to Le Mans is really easy to go).

I intended to go to Le Mans, and I was stuck there for almost 3 hours ! It was a saturday of August, so summer holydays, and few cars stopped there -mostly people going to Angers's center or doing some shopping around there- because it's a little oil service station and there is no place to stop to eat. I finally got a lift to the western side of Angers, near the petrol station.
I think (though I did not experience yet) that it's a better deal when, coming from Nantes, to jop out at the precedent oil station.
Otherwise, you can take a lift to Angers' center and then try to reach the western oil station by bus.

I found the spot easily by car, then I waited only for 5 minutes before that a young couple drove me to Paris centre. It was around 2 pm during the holidays so there was a lot of people stopping there to have lunch
